Our Story
FiveStars Africa Sports was born from a personal journey.
In 2015, our founder and CEO, Allie K, discovered cycling while searching for a healthier lifestyle. What began as a commitment to fitness soon became a passion that transformed her life. As she immersed herself in the sport, she recognized a significant gap in the market: Africa, despite its extraordinary sporting talent and rich cultural heritage, lacked a premium performance sportswear brand that authentically reflected its identity.
Determined to change that, she founded FiveStars Africa Sports in 2017, becoming the first woman to establish a cycling apparel brand in East and Central Africa.
From those beginnings, the company has evolved into a purpose-driven African sportswear brand serving athletes, national teams, organizations, corporate partners, and active individuals through thoughtfully designed apparel that combines world-class performance with meaningful storytelling.
